Change.

I have come to a conclusion.
People in your life come and go.
People change for the better and for the worse.
Over the course of this week I have learned to let go.
Let go of my past
Let go of people who don't treat me the way I should be
Let go of bad habits
Let go of my materialistic ways
I've learned that the people I had previously been
surrounding myself with were changing me for the worse.
I've learned that all these people cared about were the opposite sex,
alcohol, and looking attractive.
I learned that I too was becoming like them.
I am almost grateful for the dramatic events this week
because it has opened my eyes.
I am not the person I was pretending to be in the presence
of those who I called my friends.
I've learned that the people who truly care
about you will always be there for you, no matter what.
I've also learned that besides your family these people
come in few quantities.
So thank you to my family and the few friends
that have and will always be there for me.
Thank you to Jake and the new friends in my life
you've given me a new perspective towards living
and I am so ever grateful for you all.
It feels great to just take a deep breath and LET GO.
Life is an journey, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.

  1. If there's one thing I've learned over the last few months its just that, let go. In all aspects of life, all you can do is let go and let things work out how they are supposed to. The universe is at work, maybe these changes are happening so that the door may be opened to something better. Those who bring you down and hold you back are not friends, but the mere images of "fun."
