I know I am a little late but I need to keep track of what goes on in my life so I can add to mine and Jake's scrapbook every month.

First Thanksgiving:
Our first Thanksgiving was with my family, the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It was perfect. We had soooo much food, we thought we were going to be sick. My grandma is the best cook ever. After dinner we played a really fun game called Quelf. Right before we were getting ready to play, my mom blurts out (in front of everyone), so how do you play Queef? Everyone was seriously crying from laughing so hard. It was so awkward but so funny. My mom was so embarrassed about what she said but she made it even more funny when she leaned to my aunt and asked her what a queef is. It was probably one of the funniest family gathering moments, I have ever experienced. Anyway, you guys should check out Quelf, its a fun game to play with a group of people! All in all it was a perfect day

Second Thanksgiving:
We left the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to Idaho Falls. We helped Jake's brother in law open his new store in Rigby. His sister Mandy & I were in charge of decorating the store for Christmas. It was really good to spend the day with her and bond and I got to play with her cute kids. We spent all day and half the night at the store decorating, while taking care of crazy kids running around. The next day was Thanksgiving. We went to Driggs to Jake's grandmas for actual Thanksgiving. Once again, we ate a ton of food. We also played Just Dance 3 on the Wii with his aunts, uncles & cousins. It was pretty funny to see grown men dancing. We drove back to Idaho Falls Thursday evening and prepared for our night of black friday. We left at 9 p.m. and headed to Toys R Us to get some stuff for Jakes niece and nephew. The line to get in, honestly had over 400 people in it, so we gave up and went to Wal-Mart. The sales at Wal-Mart started at 10 p.m. and it was absolutely crazy. Jake waited in line to get us an X-box 360 & Kinect for $150. Me and Jessy (Jake's sister), ran around the store getting other things. Then we went to Kohls, Target and the mall. All in all it was a success. We were out until 3:30 in the morning, and were EXHAUSTED. But I saved around 500 dollars, it was awesome. We woke up Friday morning at 8 and went back to the mall to shop. We quickly realized how tired we actually were and went home and slept until 5 p.m. haha we were so tired! Saturday we slept in and had a relaxing day after our crazy black friday experience. Sunday was Jake's birthday. I got him the game RISK and a Transformers poster (he is obsessed). We played RISK with his family, which is a fun but very strategic and competitive game. Needless to say, I let Jake win because it was his birthday haha.

I got all of the following for around $500:
-Xbox 360 + Kinect + Adventures Game
-10 Blue Ray Movies
-2 Leather Jackets
-2 Shirts
-Beanie
-Food Processor
-Immersion Blender
-Belgium Waffle Iron
-5 Kinect X-box Games
-4 Scarves
-Robe
-Apron
-A Watch
.....and soooo much more but I'm too lazy to name everything.

Saturday the 3rd we celebrated my 21st birthday we drove to Salt Lake to go to The Cheesecake Factory. When we got there, there was a 2 hour wait, so we bought a piece of Red Velvet Cheesecake and headed back to Layton to go to Tepenyaki. Being the mom, that she is, she told me to get the most expensive thing on the menu because she felt bad that we couldn't go to The Cheesecake Factory, so I did. It was soooo good. Lobster, Crab & Filet Mignon, dinner for a Queen! After dinner we went back to the house and ate Butterfinger Cake (yellow cake version of Better Than Sex Cake). Then we watched my sisters birthday present to me, The Grinch :) my favorite Christmas movie. Sunday I got to babysit my cute nephew all day! I love that kid so much. He is seriously so funny and ridiculously smart. He's 1 1/2 and can pretty much say any word you tell him to. He loves me more then the rest of my family and always reaches for me when other people hold him, I love it. He calls me Shae Shae and runs around the house saying it. We had a great weekend with my family!

On my actual 21st birthday, December 6th. My mom came up and took me to sushi for lunch. I am a serious sucker for sushi, I love it! Then I went and got my new drivers license and I look like a man in it, its horrible. Later that night me and Jake made Christmas cookies and then went to Tandoori Oven for some indian food. It is so delicious, if you have never been there, GO! Then I opened my present from him. A rotating spice rack :) that boy knows me so well. Thanks to my mom and Jake, I had the best birthday ever.

Fast forward to the end of this week and here I am now. Thursday me, Jake, Jenna and some other friends went to Beehive and had 15 cent wings. For some reason we all ordered 20...bad idea.

Friday (last night), we went on a triple date with some friends to Lava Hot Springs. Gotta love that place. And tonight we are going to Ogden to watch MMA fights with my familia and go to my cousins homecoming tomorrow. Then it's time for finals, boooo.

Good news is, we are headed to Boise next weekend for the Utah State Aggie Bowl Game, front row tickets baby!

That was long and dreadful, I apologize.

1 Year Anniversary.

This weekend me and Jake celebrated the big 1 year. It was honestly perfect.
I seriously could not ask for a better man.

The day started off with a few episodes of Gossip Girl. (We are on Season 4 and are obsessed). Then Jake surprised me with a custom bouquet of flowers and a citrus press. He knows me soooo well. I have been wanting a fancy citrus press forever. I use lemons and limes in so many recipes and having a citrus press makes life so much easier. It was the most romantic and thoughtful gift ever, because it was so me. I loved it.

For his gift, I have been working on a 1 year scrapbook for a couple of weeks with a section for each of the 12 months we've been together so far. Each month has a written entry of all the memories we had that month followed by pictures from those memories. The look on his face when I gave it to him was priceless. I have never felt more loved in my entire life. He loved it. He got choked up and couldn't say anything besides "It's so perfect", "You are so good to me" & "I love you". We were laughing and crying over all the amazing memories we have had so far & all my hard work on the scrapbook definitely paid off.

Later that night we went to Elements in Logan. It's probably one of the fanciest, if not the fanciest restaurants in Logan. It was AMAZING. It was seriously some of the best food I have ever had.
We ordered tropical calamari & ahi tuna rolls for an appetizer. After our appetizer I had the most delicious butternut squash soup with fresh warm rolls & homemade butter. For our entree's Jake had a turkey filet wrapped in bacon with maple pecan sweet potatoes and I had lobster ravioli with shaved asparagus and lobster risotto. It was one of the best meals we ever had.

The entire day was so amazing. I am such a lucky girl. It is such an awesome feeling to wake up everyday knowing the most incredible man is in love with me and always will be.

After our dinner

Cheese.

The scrapbook!

My citrus press and flowers.

His dinner.

My dinner.

Sunday morning we headed to Ogden for an old friend, Carson Fuller's homecoming. It was good to see old friends. We spent the rest of the day at my parents house with my brother and adorable nephew. I seriously love him so much. I didn't know he was going to be there and when I was walking up the stairs to the front porch he came outside and ran into my arms. I loved it. He is starting to talk a lot and he calls me "Shae Shae". He also says "pwease" a lot and is ALWAYS smiling. He is so funny. Sunday afternoon we played games with my family and it was fun but crazy. Playing games with Jake is NOT fun, he is such a poor loser & a poor winner. He rubs it in your face so bad. We were arguing so much and my family was laughing uncontrollably at us. It was all out of love and good fun, so in the end it was more of a laugh then anything.

Here's a link to a video of him saying "Shae Shae" & "Owwie".

My Best Friend Ice.

November 5th 2011.
This day will be remembered forever. It was the day I lost my best friend.
For those of you who follow this blog or are really close to me you know how much I love my dog Ice.
She has been sick for the last couple of months and yesterday was her last straw.
She was diagnosed with a disease called pancreatic insufficiency. Basically what happens is they can't digest there food and continuously lose weight until they die.
She stopped eating, weighed 30 pounds lighter than she should at her age and just couldn't hold on any longer. We made the decision to send her to a better place where she could be happy.
Saying my last goodbyes at the vet was by far one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. It was even more painful to see that Jake was just as upset as I was. I haven't stopped crying and honestly am bawling hysterically as I type this. She had a great life and we will always love and remember her. She really was my best friend. She always put a smile on my face and was there for me no matter what. We watched movies under Jakes bed together, she helped me cook dinner (mostly by eating the scraps that fell on the ground), and did everything thing she could to make me happy. It's amazing how much a dog can become like a family member. Losing her has honestly been one of the hardest things I have had to go through in my life so far.

In remembrance of our baby girl, Evil Princess Ice, we love you and miss you. We can't wait to see you again in heaven.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

I think I might start food blogging.
I've been contemplating it for a few weeks now and it just seems like fun, so we'll give it a try.

Since it's October I decided to make something pumpkin. I made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread and it turned out AMAZING. It tastes just like Great Harvests'.

Here's the recipe.

2 1/2 cups white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
16 oz cooked or canned pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
1 cup oil
4 eggs, beaten lightly
2/3 cup water
1 cup milk chocolate chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two (9x5 inch) loaf pans or three (8x4 inch) loaf pans. (I used 8x4 inch pans)

Mix flours, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a large bowl.

Mix pumpkin, oil, eggs, and 2/3 cup water together and stir into dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Place batter in greased pans.

Bake 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

HAPPY BAKING :)

Neglect.

I have been very neglectful of my blog lately and I blame it all on Pinterest.
I'm an addict.

Short Post.

This is short but WE FINALLY GOT OUR BABY BACK.
For those of you who don't know, Ice our dog/child has been with Jake's dad in Northern Idaho all Summer since we were both working. Well we finally got her back in Logan today and I am the happiest girl alive. I missed her so much.

My baby girl.

We love our baby.

She's doing my Econ homework for me, what a great dog haha.

That's our baby, get ready for a lot more pictures because we are obsessed :)

Oh and I snagged this cute picture from this weekend.

We spent Saturday afternoon at Gateway. We ate at Tucanos, then ate the best cookies we have ever tasted in our lives, Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies with Maple Frosting. Yes, I said BACON. Best cookies ever.

Now it's homework time. I shall post a longer update later this week.
Chao.

Lately.

I was doing really good and blogging weekly but obviously that didn't last very long.
So lately I have officially finished decorating my apartment, as usual spending my sweet weekends with Jake, and waiting for him to FINALLY be home for good. He moves back to Logan tomorrow and this week has honestly been the longest week of my life. I was staying at my apartment in Logan but for those of you who know me, I HATE being alone so I came back to Ogden to stay with my family until Jake comes back tomorrow. I'm a baby, I know.

Here are some pics from 2 weekends ago when we went camping with Jake's family and went to Jake's 5 year high school reunion.

Me and baby Jake, Jake's nephew. I love him!

All of us on the fourwheeler. Jake rockin some sweet shades.

This is why I love him.

He is so sexy.

On the way to his reunion.

Jake pretending to be a dog, so cute.

Here's a sneak peek of some things in my apartment. I will blog next week with pictures of everything.

A shelf full of my collection of MetroMint bottles. The best drink in the entire world.

My cute nightstand.

One of the walls in my kitchen.

Kitchen table.

I have been trying to keep myself busy so this week will go by fast this is what I have been doing.

I made this lamp. The before picture is a few pictures up on my nightstand. I bought the old keys at a yard sale for 25 cents and just glued them on the inside of the lampshade.

This baby is from the D.I. it was purchased for 20 bucks. I wish I would have gotten a before picture but I forgot. The side panels used to be a nasty old brown color, so I spray painted them and it looks so much better. I will take a picture with the paint tape off and the wall above it next week.

I send cheesy kissy pictures to Jake while he's at work.

Jenna came and spent the night. This cute little river is right by my house.

I love it.

I made fresh pico de gallo with tomatoes, jalapenos & onions from my parents garden. So yummy.

I watched my brothers football game for 2.5 hours in this temperature with no shade.

I got a hideous tanline.

I got my hair colored.

Can you tell I have been so bored without Jake? Words cannot explain how excited I am that he will be back for good tomorrow :) So many GREAT things are happening this semester, life is good.

Our weekend camping trips.

Friday: I arrived in Pinedale and Jake and I immediately left to meet our friends for our camping weekend. We arrived at this beautiful lake and set up camp.

After we got camp set up and put our dinner in the fire to cook. Jake and I went down to the lake so he could take a bath. (The place where he is living right now does not have a shower, so during the week he sponge bathes). It was so funny to watch him try and bathe, I was laughing so hard.

He kept walking further out into the lake and it wouldn't get deep. It was so funny. (It looks like he is naked but he has teeny tiny compression shorts on)

I took this panoramic picture with my phone.

Us next to the lake.

After Jake's bathing experience we spent the night laughing and relaxing with our friends next to the fire.

Saturday: We got up and ate breakfast and then made our plans for the day. The other couples had to run home and do a few things so me and Jake went to the park for a picnic. After lunch we headed down to the Green River to go tubing. Long story short, the water was freezing, I got stuck in a tree/thorn bush on the side of the river, lost my tube and almost drowned, then it started down pouring on us, I thought we were lost, and we basically almost died. Nonetheless we laughed the entire trip down the river and had a blast. After river rafting we headed to Granite Hot Springs to set up camp for the night. The other couples didn't want to camp again so it was just Jake and I. After we set up camp we went up to the hot springs to meet everyone. (They came up for the afternoon and then left). Granite Hot Springs is so cool. Its a little pool in the middle of the forest.

I found this picture online since I neglected to take pictures.

After swimming for an hour or so we went back to camp, cooked dinner, sat by the fire and then went to bed.

Jake sitting by the fire.

This picture was taken after a few days of camping, you can tell haha.

Sunday: We got up and made a delicious breakfast, packed up camp and then explored Granite Falls.

Granite Falls.

So tender :)

This was right by our campsite. So beautiful.

After hanging out at the falls for awhile, we drove to Jackson Hole. We wandered around town for awhile, mostly people watching, and the we went to lunch. After lunch we decided to get old time photos. It was something we will always remember, thats for sure. I looked horrible in all the pictures since I hadn't showered in several days from camping, but Jake really wanted to do them so it was fun!

Our "Old Time" photo.

After our photo experience we went to Ripleys Believe It or Not. They had this special where if you ate a bug, you got a 4 dollar discount. So we did. Sick I know.

These are the bugs we ate.

Inside Ripley's on a buffalo couch.

After our long day in Jackson we headed back to Jake's because he had to work in the morning.

Monday: Jake was at work all day so I ate lunch in the park by myself, and then studied in the library most of the day. Monday night we went out on a pizza date and rented the movie Unknown. It has the guy from Taken and is a pretty good movie.

Tuesday: Tuesday morning I got up and headed back to Ogden.

We once again had such a fun weekend. We are so blessed to be able to do such fun things. I am honestly so in love, sometimes I make myself sick. Jake just makes me the happiest most giddy girl in the whole wide world. I know I may be the cheesiest girl in the whole wide world but that's what love does to you sometimes, and I think that's how it should be :) We're perfect together.

My last test of the Summer semester is tomorrow morning and I couldn't be happier. I am also moving a bunch more stuff up to Logan the next couple of days. Then on Friday its back to Pinedale. We are spending the weekend in Idaho Falls for Jake's 5 year high school reunion. Once again, can't wait till Friday :)
