Usual Weekend Update.

Friday night Jake came down from Pinedale. He got here really late so we just went to bed.
Saturday morning we got up early and went garage/yard sale hunting with my mom. I love finding old antiques and fun treasures! I got a bunch of cute stuff for my new apartment, and Jake purchased a coffee table to fix up for our future house. Being the manly man he is, he also purchased a dozen decoy ducks for duck hunting. After driving all around Weber County hitting up all the yard sales, we went to breakfast at the restaurant. Then we dropped my mom off at home and headed down to Ikea. I love that store, I could spend three days straight there. It was fun to look at ideas for our future home and pick out stuff for my new apartment. We stopped for lunch on the way home at 5 Guys (which by the way is so much better than In N Out) When we got home we watched So You Think You Can Dance, which I got Jake addicted too, he loves it just as much as I do haha. Then we got ready for the Pioneer Days Rodeo and headed downtown. The rodeo was kind of a let down because it was really hot and it just wasn't that exciting. Saturday night after the rodeo we just hung out with my family and went to bed.

At the rodeo.

Sunday we ran all around town. We went to Target, Home Depot, Lowes & Walmart, buying stuff for the new apartment. Sunday afternoon we went on a fourwheeling ride with my family. There is nothing I love more than riding up in Mantua on a Sunday afternoon. We found a big mound of snow and my dad decided to "ski" down it, so we followed after. We had so much fun, especially when Jake completely ate it. He face planted while sliding down the hill. My mom literally peed her pants, we had such a good time!

My mom took this cute picture while we were looking out over the valley.

Can't wait to spend forever with this guy.

Jake sliding down the snow hill.

Me, Jake, my brother, his cute girlfriend and my Dad.

Standing on top of the snow hill.

My first attempt down the hill, no I did not fall haha.

On Thursday my good friend Lacey, who I met in New Zealand last Summer while I was traveling with International Student Volunteers, is coming to Utah on Wednesday night. We became best friends while we were in New Zealand and Fiji and haven't seen each other since June 2010. She lives in Florida and is coming up for a few days. We are going to hang out in Salt Lake on Thursday and she's coming up to Ogden on Friday. I can't wait to see her!

Here's some pictures of me and Lacey!

This is on a dock in Fiji!

On a boat in Fiji!

Overlooking the ocean in New Zealand!

Friday afternoon after Lacey leaves me and Jake are going camping in Jackson Hole, WY with our friends Kodey and Sara. I can't wait :)

WARNING: I am going to be talking about PMS so if you don't want to hear, I encourage you to exit this blog now.
Okay so every 3 months are so I have a really bad period. Bad meaning my hormones seriously get completely out of whack. I seriously turn into a crazy emotional mess. I HATE it. I had a bad dream last night about Jake and since its that time of the month I am so mad and upset about my dream. I know it was just a dream but it felt so real. I've been dwelling on it all day making myself miserable and questioning my relationship until I finally realized that everything between me and Jake is completely perfect, I couldn't ask for a better man, we have the most beautiful love there is. A dream is a dream and it doesn't mean anything. I am just so frustrated because I let my hormones get the best of me and make me upset for half of the day. Does anyone else get like this sometimes? When every little thing brings you to tears and every little thing pisses you off? I hate being a girl sometimes, I honestly do. Anyone know of any advice to help me not be so psycho?

On a better note, I have fallen in love with etsy.com. I might have a new addiction. They have the coolest prints on old vintage book and encyclopedia paper. I purchased the following for my new apartment.
This one is going in my bathroom (hence her holding a cupcake, and the pink dress)

I also got these three FAKE cupcakes to go on my pink shelves in my bathroom.

And this vintage print with a cute pink cupcake.
My very favorite purchase from etsy is this crafty vintage cupcake tin to hang in the bathroom.

Then I got this vintage peacock print for the living room.

These 3 Alice In Wonderland Vintage Prints for my bedroom.

And last, I got these three for my kitchen.

(None of the vintage prints come with frames so I'm going to get frames that match the pictures)

I am in love with decorating now.
Jake will be here later tonight and I can't wait to go on our Ikea date tomorrow :)

37 Days.

It's official 37 more days until Jake is officially back in Logan & 31 days until I am officially back in Logan. The best thing about being back in Logan is that for the first time in my life I have my very own apartment! I am so excited not to have roommates, 2 years of living with girls was too much. (Even though I do love some of my past roommates with all my heart ((Kaylie, Jade, Lindsey, Lauren, Kylee)) but a lot of you know I've also had very bad experiences with roommates. So needless to say I can't wait to be in my own place. Now I won't have to practically live at Jake's, he can practically live at my place :) just kidding, but not really haha. So the new place is on Center Street in Logan, which is probably my favorite street because it has gigantic trees lining both sides of the street and there are cute old victorian houses all over. It's a basement apartment with a huge kitchen and bedroom and I can't wait to decorate it. My mom has already spoiled the living crap out of me by buying so many cute new things for the apartment. I decided to stick with "themes" for each room so this is my plan:

Colors: Pink, Brown & Green
Theme: Cupcakes
I know it sounds weird cupcakes in your bathroom but I have found so many cute cupcake decorations and I think its going to turn out really cute. I tried to download all the pictures of the cute things I bought but my computer is not cooperating so I will post pictures when I move in! Here is one picture of a light switch cover I got, so cute!

Colors: Red and Black
My kitchen is honestly huge its the biggest room in the apartment so I decided there was room for a couch on one side of the kitchen and a table at the other. We found a really cute vintage black leather couch with a pull out bed at the D.I for 30 bucks so we snagged it. It looks brand new so I was super excited. We also found a bunch of old vintage tin red containers with different designs that are going to look way cute on the kitchen counter. At Target we went crazy and bought cute red and black frames, red pillows for the couch, a red rug, a big black tree decal for the wall and much more! My favorite things we got for the kitchen were little glass tomato salt and pepper shakers and we bought 3 different sized glass containers that we are going to fill with different red candies, its going to be so cute. Here's a picture of about 1/4 of the actual kitchen (This is before I move in, I will post pictures after I decorate everything).

Living Room:
Colors: Black, Green & Blue
Theme: Peacock Feathers
For the last two years my room has been peacock themed but this year I am going to put all the decorations in the living room because I got a ton of new things for my bedroom. This is my room last year so you kind of get an idea of what the living room will look like.

Try to ignore us and focus on things in the background like the black shelve, peacock picture and metromint water bottle window frame.

Colors: Warm. Yellows, Browns, Golds, Maroons.
My parents had a custom made bed spread/pillows made a couple years ago that cost around $1,000 and they are absolutely gorgeous so my mom decided she didn't want them anymore and took them to the drycleaners and they are now mine. I don't have any pictures of them but they are so classy and grown up, I love them. We also found an old vanity at the D.I. that is white and gold antiqued and in perfect shape so we bought a cute mirror at Home Depot to go with it. Our friend Dani, refinishes old furniture for fun and she has an old 6 drawer dresser that she refinished to match my vanity and I'm so excited about it! I don't have any pictures of my room stuff yet but hopefully soon!

So if you can't tell I am pretty excited about my new place.

This weekend was awesome, yet again.
Friday night I drove to Pinedale and we went to dinner with our friends Jeff and Hailey at our favorite mexican restaurant, Los Cabos. Their seafood enchiladas are straight from God. After we drove to the neighboring town of Big Piney (40 minutes away) so we could go bowling. (There is literally nothing to do in Pinedale). We decided to mix things up a bit by making bowling rules, each round we took turns choosing how everyone had to bowl (between the legs, kicking it, laying down) and it was so much fun! I ended up with a final score of 16. Yes I said 16 but it was still a blast.

Saturday we headed to Bear Lake to stay at our friend Austin's cabin. We spent the day eating raspberry shakes and jet skiing. It was our first time ever jet skiing and we had a blast! Jake almost threw me off like 5 times but it was way fun and the water felt amazing. Later that night we ate dinner with Austin's family and played games. Austin is going to be Jakes roommate this next semester and his family is awesome.

Sunday we went to sacrament meeting in the morning and then headed back to Pinedale. We were super tired so we ate a quick dinner and then went to sleep.

On Monday Jake had to work so I basically slept all day and watched Out Cold haha I am pathetic. When Jake got home we made dinner and watched the movie Rango. I thought it was super funny. Tuesday morning Jake got up early and went to work and I headed back to Ogden. Tuesday night after we both got home from work and had talked on the phone and said goodnight about 10 minutes later I got a text from him saying. "Night, love you and miss you." It's things like that that make me love him so much!

Today I went to lunch with my dear friend Jenna who I haven't seen in 6 months. It was good to catch up with her (even though she was probably annoyed because all I talked about was Jake haha) and I can't wait for her to move to Logan!

This weekend Jake is coming down and we are going garage & yard sale hunting followed by a trip to Ikea and the rodeo on Saturday night! Our friends Hailey and Jeff are coming down for the rodeo too so it should be way fun! Friday needs to get here fast.

That was a longggg post.

Is Christmas here yet?

I never thought I would say this but I am ready for Summer to be over. I miss being with Jake every single day, and this only seeing him on the weekend crap sucks, I'm not gonna lie. The good news is we have the time of our lives on the weekends.

Over the 4th we spent a few days in Idaho Falls with Jakes family. I love them so much, they are already like family to me. We went to the rodeo on Saturday night and then saw Glen Beck speak followed by amazing fireworks. Sunday was Jakes niece Abbi's baby blessing. We had amazing food and played games all night long with his sister's family. Then did lots of illexgal fireworks and almost killed ourselves, it was great. His brother in law picks on me like I'm his own sister, we all have a blast together. Monday we went on an all day fourwheeling ride, and me and Jake got completely covered head to toe in mud and dirt. It was awesome. His nephew was loving it so much, he is so stinkin cute. He kept saying, "C'mon Say (Shae), C'mon, Vroom Vroom." He loves me more than Jake and it makes Jake mad but I love it. The night of the 4th we played more games with his sister and brother in law and had deep talks until almost one in the morning. Tuesday we went to a water park with baby Jake and he had so much fun! Later that afternoon we drove back to Pinedale, we had an awesome 4 days with his family.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures on my camera but Jakes sister sent us this one from fourwheeling. Me, Baby Jake, and Big Jake.

This last weekend I took Jake to his very first country concert. My favorite, Kenny Chesney. I have seen him over 6 times now and he is always amazing. Jake had lots of fun so I was glad. We danced the night away, it was so much fun.

Who wears a fadora to a country concert, and a bright yellow affliction shirt? Oh we do. hahaha.

It was a great weekend, even though it was short. We just keep falling more and more in love. Its like this Brad Paisley song :)

Ignore the cheesy video.

Oh and I have AWESOME news, my family is taking my brother, me and Jake somewhere over Christmas, we haven't decided between Tahiti, Hawaii, Costa Rica, or a cruise but I would be fine with any of them! We are planning on leaving the day before Christmas Eve and staying a week. A tropical Christmas with everyone I love ♥ I cannot wait!
